OTTAWA (Ontario) – As the company that delivers almost two out of three parcels ordered online, Canada Post has joined forces with Google to offer its Google Now platform users direct access to its tracking services.
Google now is a virtual assistant – available on mobile devices, tablets, desktops and even wearables such as Google Glass – that provides practical, timely information in one single platform. Canada Post’s parcel tracking services have been integrated enabling users to receive notification on packages delivered by Canada Post from the largest retailers in the country.
In 2013, Canadians tracked their parcels more than 99 million times using Canada Post’s website and mobile applications. So far this year, Canadians are tracking parcels at a pace that could double this number by the end of the year, with over 165 million tracks to date, before peak season.
